This blog is the result of a strange but lasting habit of taking snap shots of the food I prepare for my two children. Planning, preparing and serving meals to a toddler is a lot of work, but when you set that plate down on the table in front of your hungry child the satisfaction is immense. 

You'll notice from the weekly menus I create, the food I prepare is peanut-free and mostly vegetarian. I try very hard to create balance in our diet, but I'm not an expert. I'm a mom. As my daughter, Silly, turns three and her little brother, Valentine, six months, I realize that sitting down as a family to share a meal has become the highlight of each day. So I scour recipe books and blogs for ideas. I carefully plan a weeks worth of meals at a time. I cook and I serve and I hope that everyone at my table fills his or her belly and enjoys the company.
